Currently Listening To:

The Shore

I love it when I find music on my computer and/or mp3 player (no, I never bought an ipod) that I had forgotten about, and realize that I still think it's good. A lot of music I have downloaded or bought usually ends up in the "no longer like" category due to it being a trend at the time or media hype or whatever. So when I find old music that years later I still enjoy, that is truly a treat.

The Shore released their debut, self-titled album in 2004. I think they opened up for Rachael Yamagata at 3rd & Lindsley that year which is how I found out about them. My sister and I loved Rachael Yamagata and went to see her when she came to town. That was such an awesome show!

Anyway, after hearing The Shore I bought their cd. Wow, I don't think I've been able to say I bought a cd in years! :) I of course played it out and then moved on to other music and forgot about it.

Well since I now bring my mp3 player to work while I mindlessly do my job (that's another story in itself) I put it on shuffle and there came The Shore. I fell in love all over again. I love their sound!

So, I am currently listening to The Shore's 2004 album, but I hear they have another album "Light Years" that came out this year, but only released digitally. So if you haven't heard of The Shore, check them out on myspace at www.myspace.com/theshore.
