I love this rug! It in no way goes with my current decor, but I love it anyway. I'll have to put it on my "One Day List". (First I need to make the list...)According to sources, this rug cost $4000. (No, I did not forget a decimal point.) It's been featured on Apartment Therapy before, but today they informed us of how Daily Danny wants to create his own version of this rug DIY style at a fraction of the cost. He plans to purchase vintage rugs at flea markets and then patch pieces together using hemp string. You can follow his progress on his blog.
I'll be watching to see how this project goes. If all goes well...maybe I will 'one day' attempt this DIY project myself!
